Hey, I'm Josh. I've grown up in Railyway Street, Cooks Hill - Newcastle has always been home to me. I'm passionate about the people, the history, heritage and progression of the area and have fallen in love with our community.
I initially started and completed my apprenticeship in Newcastle - I moved away from home to grow my knowledge and experience in painting. Situated in Brisbane, I then travelled for many projects to Mackay, Bundaberg and all over Queensland working underneath major painting and building companies. Within this time I learnt all aspects of painting, from house and roof restoration to commercial and industrial projects. I ran jobs including the Sea World Convention Centre, Gold Coast Foreshore, Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club, Brisbane Clem 7 Tunnels Upgrade, BWS Stores state-wide, 7/11 Service Stations and a major government school contract throughout QLD.
I met the love of my life, my wife - had our first child and decided there was no better decision than to return home to raise our family by the coast. I've taken the leap and started Painting by Josh - our family has never looked back since.

Where do we start?
We will arrange a convenient time for you to meet - I am always working around your schedule. I am available 24/7 for queries, advice or consultation to provide you with peace of mind.

What is included in the quote?
A detailed description of my process and procedure of how the job will be completed. My price is a fixed price - irrespective to more time spent on the job, I will always honour quoted costing. I am also 110% transparent with job costing - I ethically and morally do not believe in hidden costs or having a 'catch' to my estimates. I also pride myself in the high quality workmanship, paint and material - which will be detailed in the quotation.

What if we are unsure of design or colours?
20 years in the industry, I know what colours work. I will always work closely with my client in providing colour consultation and advice to provide my clients with the best end results possible.

If we book you, what happens next?
I will contact you immediately with a date and time to commence works. I will also ensure to keep you in the loop at all times regarding my schedule, and always strive to communicate as much as possible to keep the process smooth and positive.

What guarantees will you provide me?
As only one of fourteen Dulux Accredited Painters in Newcastle and the surrounding area - I provide a 5 year workmanship warranty. Additionally, all Dulux Products guarantee a lifetime warranty.
