Painting by Josh restored the heritage-listed Menkens Apartments in Newcastle. We tackled weathered paint, damaged flashing, and rusted steel vents, completing the project within 7 days! Honeysuckle Social 11 Honeysuckle Drive, Newcastle 2300
Painting by Josh teamed up with Buildsmart Constructions to transform the former Squire's Maiden restaurant in Newcastle into a brand new dining experience. We worked hard to meet a tight deadline, delivering a complete makeover just in time for opening day!

Garden Suburb Repaint
All walls and woodwork were sanded to remove all coats of yellowed oil-based enamel.
Two coats of Dulux Precision Maximum Strength Adhesion Primer was applied prior to the additional of Dulux’s Aquanamel Gloss tinted to Lexicon Quarter.
Once completed, all walls were painted with two coats of Dulux Wash & Wear tinted to Lexicon Quarter Low Sheen.

Swansea Fence Respray
I was asked to repaint the front fence surrounding a property in Swansea, NSW. Beautiful character home, streets from the water needing a bit of TLC! We will be repainting this house later in the year. The client requested Dulux’s Weathershield low sheen in Vivid White to be applied to suit the style of the house.

93 Elder Street Doctors Practice
Painting by Josh team had a 3-4 hour gap in the morning prior to the doctor’s practice opening to complete a brick transformation. I’ve certainly noticed a rising trend in painting brick – but man does it look good in Dulux’s Wash & Wear low-sheen white on white. Of course, the only way is to spray – see the photos below for some behind-the-scenes of this project.

6 Mena Street Mayfield
This Newcastle home got a modern makeover with a fresh exterior paint job by Painting by Josh. Meticulous prep work including priming, filling, and sanding ensured a flawless finish. We sprayed the guttering, fascia, and windows in Dulux Monument, the eaves in Lexicon Half, and the walls in Colorbond Woodland Grey. The front door was hand-brushed for a perfect finish. Lake Point Way, Murray’s Beach
Here’s a beautiful home recently completed. All the timberwork required some attention. We went through sanded and re-stained all the timber followed by some fresh coats of Intergrain Ultraclear. All weatherboards where sanded and gapped and two coats of Dulux Weathershield Colorbond Dune was applied with the Monarch painting 75mm brush. The bagging needed repairing in some area’s to match the existing then primer coat was applied followed by another two topcoats of Dulux Weathershield mixed up to Colorbond Basalt.

Diabolik Tattoo 372 King St, Newcastle NSW 2300
Diabolik Tattoo Parlour was in touch with Painting by Josh to give their building a freshen up as the previous coatings were dull and faded. The clients were delighted with the workmanship and finish the Painting by Josh crew had achieved.

51 Steel St, Redhead NSW
This amazing beachside home has more Timber than a Lumberyard. All second hand BlackButt was used on all bench tops, stairs case, kitchen ceilings, handrails and fireplace. It was a big job to sand back all eight vanity tops and island kitchen bench, but with the Mirka Dustless Sander made my job a lot easier and kept the clients house dust-free.

7 Bray Crescent, Garden Suburbs
This run down house was in some serious love and attention. The preparation was taken back to bare in most places to achieve the best results. This was a huge transformation for this property. The clients were more than happy with their colour choice and the workmanship of the team.

Aboutspace Lighting got in touch with Painting by Josh as the lights they custom made for the new Newcastle City Council Building were damaged in transit and needed repairing.

Kitchen Make Over for a lovely client Belinda the owner of The Colour 8 Home (Interior Design) This was a huge transformation from cupboards, splash back and kitchen benchtop. Charlestown Water Tower
I was approached by the Up & Up Inspirations to take on the task of spraying the base coat on the Charlestown Water town. This job was completed on behalf of the Hunter Water Corporation, in collaboration with Up & Up Inspirations and local Newcastle artists. This was a big project, with copious amounts of green paint needing to be sprayed in just nine hours for the artist to begin.

39 Crowlingshaw St, Redhead
We were called in to save the day on this job! The powder-coated window hoods where installed mid-build to this brand new property. Near completion, the builders had realized in places the powder coating had started to fail! It had not properly adhered to the aluminium. In this case, all had to be stripped completely back to bare surfaces using the trusty Linbide blades.

321 Coal Point Rd, Coal Point NSW

71 Durham Rd, Lambton
What a transformation on this property! This run down house was in need of a make over. All the surfaces were scrapped back using the Oldfeilds Linebid Blade and sanded with the Mirka Dustless Sander to remove all loose, flaking paint and old gaps from underneath each weatherboard. Soudal Fill & Paint was used to gap the windows and weatherboards.
