Hey peeps! It's been a while, things have been crazy; lots of change, lots of moving and heaps of new stuff going on. I kicked off 2024 with a brand new truck build which I'm hyped to get into and share with the paint fam. At the end of 2023 we packed up the fam and moved from our home and life in Newcastle, and relocated to Lightning Ridge, NSW, which is a solid 10 hour drive inland from Australia's East Coast. Completely different pace and way of life, and we loved it. New and exciting opportunities pop up from time to time, and this was one we grabbed straight away. Crazy terrains and tricky roads call for an upgrade on the wheels. I found this Mitsuibishi Canter, ex-Rural Fire Service, loaded up with fire fighting gear and ready to go to a new home. I jumped on it straight away and have the vision to turn the Canter into the ultimate off-road, remote 4X4 rig. After relocating the fam to Lightning Ridge, I jumped in the truck two days later and made the trip GO Industrial in Brisbane. I work closely with these guys for all of our pressure washing, paint spraying, paint accessories, dustless sanding gear. They also happen to have a whole division of the brand dedicated to fluid handling equipment, fuel tanks, truck service bodies, you name it. I worked with the lads over two days to get the Canter back to bare, and start the build fresh. Enjoy the episode, this is the first of many.
